PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Garut Deputy Regent Putri Karlina launched the Visiting Mothers program or "Indung Ngalongok" to pay closer attention to the conditions of each sub-district. Visits will be made to all sub-districts in Garut Regency in the next few weeks.
This was conveyed by Putri in a Joint Roll Call held at the Garut Regional Secretariat (Setda) Field, Jalan Pembangunan, Tarogong Kidul District, Garut Regency, Monday (14/4/2025).
"The language I use is not 'sidak' because it is too harsh. If Ibu Berkunjung or 'Indung Ngalongok' means more of a sense of affection to pay attention to each sub-district in detail," said Putri.
Some of the main objectives of the Visiting Mother program or "Indung Ngalongok", include checking the cleanliness and services in each sub-district and observing the discipline of workers. If there is trash, Putri immediately works together with the community to clean it.
In addition to the issue of cleanliness, she will also highlight road infrastructure. If the road is under the authority of the province, then Putri will coordinate with the provincial government.
If it falls under the district's authority, the Garut District Government will include it in the development plan. That way, the road can be repaired, but by looking at the previous priority scale.
Putri said that her visit was not limited to the sub-district office, but also villages based on reports or complaints from the community through her personal Instagram account. There were many complaints or requests from the community to check the village.
"So those who are included in the report will be visited randomly when I visit the sub-district," he said.
The exact time the program will start is still in the scheduling process. (Garut Communication and Information Service/ Rani)
