PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Garut Regency - Deputy Regent of Garut Putri Karlina directly reviewed the booth of the Communication and Informatics Service (Diskominfo) during the Car Free Day event held on Jalan Ahmad Yani, Garut Kota District, Garut Regency, Sunday (11/9/2025).
On the occasion, the Deputy Regent of Garut also promoted one of the Garut Regency Government's flagship programs, the Garut Hebat Super Apps. The app demonstrates the Regency Government's commitment to facilitating access to services and addressing public aspirations.
Putri Karlina explained that the initial inspiration for Garut Hebat Super Apps was to address public complaints that often come in through private channels, such as direct messages on social media. The app is designed to bridge more structured and widespread communication between citizens and the government.
"So the spirit is how to make it easier for the public to convey their aspirations, even though not all of them can be resolved immediately, at least they reach the government," said Putri Karlina.
In addition to complaint services, this application also focuses on easy access to public administration, one of which is population administration.
"Then secondly, sometimes a lot of complaints are about, 'Ma'am, why is it so difficult to make an ID card, family card, and so on?' So, in the Garut Hebat application, one of the features can also make an ID card, but if it's online, it takes a bit of time. So if you want it quickly, you still have to come to the Dukcapil or sub-district office," he explained.
The Deputy Regent of Garut added that another main feature currently available is access to job vacancy information.
"There's a job vacancy feature, but it's not just for Garut, it's nationwide, because we're connected to a national job vacancy website. It's the same with the CCTV feature, it's all free," added the Deputy Regent.
Putri Karlina highlighted the importance of complaint data received through the application to be used as a priority for regional development, considering the limited financial capacity of the region.
The most frequently received and highlighted complaints relate to infrastructure and social assistance. Putri hopes that Garut Hebat Super Apps can further develop into a local e-commerce platform that supports businesses in Garut.
"So, tourists who come to Garut will have to download it and be able to shop directly through the app. It will also be integrated with canteens or food outlets that want to sell online, but that's a future goal. We want these three main features to be up and running first."
In closing, Deputy Regent Putri Karlina invited the entire community to jointly support government programs with a spirit of mutual cooperation.
"Secondly, it's also for the community. Without their cooperation, none of our programs will be implemented, so I ask that we work together," he concluded. (Garut Regency Communications and Information Office/Rani)
