PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Garut Regent Abdusy Syakur Amin ensured that the Milangkala Tatar Sunda cultural parade would be held in Garut City (5/5/2026) so that it could be enjoyed by the wider community.

The parade will showcase the culture of 27 regencies and cities in West Java with the main route going through the city center.

"Yes, we invite all residents of Garut Regency to join us in watching the Milangkala Tatar Sundanese cultural carnival, which commemorates the anniversary of West Java Province. This will showcase various cultures from 27 regencies/cities in West Java," said the Garut Regent.

The procession route starts from Makorem 062/Tarumanagara and ends at Bale Dewa Niskala via the city's main route.

This event features art performances, horse riding, and the Sanghyang Pake Binokasih Crown parade.

Garut Deputy Regent Putri Karlina requested prompt publication so that the public is aware of the traffic engineering.

"This is the exact timeframe, which is H-1. If possible, we can still communicate it well, whatever it is. So, regarding the road closures, the implementation time must be reached quickly and reach all levels of society so that there will be a crowd on the day," said Putri Karlina.

The Garut Regency Government has prepared security for the 2.2 kilometer route to ensure the event runs safely and smoothly.

This activity provides a space for entertainment while strengthening cultural identity for the community.
