PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - Acting Regent of Bekasi Asep Surya Atmaja opened GEBRAK Volume 2 to promote tourism, culture, the creative economy, and MSMEs, (7/8/2026).

The Tourism and Creative Economy Festival (GEBRAK) Volume 2 took place for two days in Meikarta District 1, South Cikarang District.

This activity serves as a promotional space for local products as well as a forum for business actors, communities, artists, and the younger generation to showcase their work.

Asep Surya Atmaja said that Bekasi Regency has potential in tourism, arts and culture, and the creative economy that can drive regional economic growth.

"GEBRAK Volume 2 is a collaborative space for creative economy actors, arts and culture communities, MSMEs, and the younger generation to showcase their best work to the public," he said.

According to him, community creativity can drive the economy while introducing the cultural richness of Bekasi Regency to a wider audience.

"We want to demonstrate that creativity is a powerful force capable of driving the economy while also introducing Bekasi Regency's rich culture to a wider audience," he said.

For two days, the public can enjoy tourism and creative economy exhibitions, cultural arts performances, dance competitions, and band festivals.

Various creative competitions are also held to provide space for Bekasi Regency talents to demonstrate their abilities and gain public appreciation.

GEBRAK Volume 2 also involves expatriate communities from South Korea, Japan, China, and India to enrich cultural exchange.

Asep invited the public to visit the event and support the work of creative economy actors and local MSMEs in Bekasi Regency.

"I invite the entire community to come and enjoy every series of activities, support the work of local creative economy actors and MSMEs, and work together to promote Bekasi Regency's tourism potential so that it becomes more widely known," he concluded.
