PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - Acting (Pj.) Garut Regent Barnas Adjidin officially opened the 2024 Garut Cultural Enchantment Festival and Garut Creative Fair which took place at SOR RAA Adiwijaya, Jalan Proklik, Tarogong Kidul District, Garut Regency, Saturday (27/4/2024) .

This event was attended by arts and cultural actors in Garut Regency. This activity lasts for 2 days, namely Saturday-Sunday (27 -28/4/2024).

The opening was marked by the beating of drums by Pj. Regent of Garut and other invited guests

Barnas said that the progress of Garut Regency was marked by several things, including culinary tourism, natural tourism, cultural tourism and various other tourism.

"As we saw earlier, there are various extraordinary food, fashion and creative tourism products, which of course provide capital for Garut Regency to develop its region," said Barnas.

After seeing several creative products displayed at the Garut Creative Fair, Barnas revealed that the results of creative products in Garut Regency were very good and worthy of pride for the people of Garut Regency.

"And of course the media can help how we in Garut Regency introduce various arts and culture products, and the things we can see at this fair. So hopefully everyone is happy," said Barnas.

In the same place, the Head of the Garut Tourism and Culture Service (Disparbud), Luna Avriantini, said that the aim of this activity was to implement and realize the synergy and acceleration of Law Number 5 of 2027 concerning the Advancement of Culture.

"The aim is to increase the creativity of artists and cultural figures as well as creative tourism industry players to innovate their work so that they have high competitiveness. Next is to promote tourism to increase the number of tourist visits to Garut Regency," said Luna.

As part of a series of Garut's 211th Anniversary Commemorations, Luna said, this year's Garut Cultural Enchantment Festival and Garut Creative Fair carried the theme Nu Datang Mawa Bagja, Nu Miang Mugia Waluya.

He also said that the implementation of activities this year was different from previous years, because they had to be temporarily postponed due to the 2024 elections and the month of Ramadan.

He added that today's event was packed with cultural arts performances, opening arts processions, traditional arts performances, creative economy exhibitions and art performances from the Garut Arts Council.

Finally, he expressed his gratitude to all parties, especially the Acting Regent of Garut, Barnas Adjidin, who had provided direction for the implementation of this activity so that it could run smoothly.

"And we would also like to thank all parties who have actively participated in preparing this event, from artists and cultural figures, creative business people to the committee who have worked hard behind the scenes," he said.
