PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Inspectorate held an Anti-Corruption Socialization with the Bandung City Regional Government with the theme "Joint Synergy to Eradicate Corruption", Monday (24/6/2024).
This activity is an effort to increase understanding among internal stakeholders regarding corrupt behavior and efforts to prevent it, involving all OPDs in the city of Bandung.
On this occasion, Bandung City Inspector Dharmawan said that criminal acts of corruption were still a complicated problem in Indonesia, one of which was in the city of Bandung.
He emphasized that eradicating criminal acts of corruption must be applied in the form of a comprehensive strategy. So prevention is carried out preventively, detectively and repressively.
"Eradicating corruption is still a top priority in maintaining public trust in the Regional Government. In this case, integrity, transparency and accountability really need to be applied," said Dharmawan.
He continued, there are three things that can be pursued in implementing the eradication of criminal acts of corruption in the Bandung City Regional Government, including:
1. Increase integrity and credibility by implementing anti-corruption principles in each OPD;
2. Effective use of budget;
3. Improve public services so that they focus on mandatory basic services such as health, education or infrastructure, as well as other services that are needed more by the community.
Meanwhile, Special Assistant Inspector for the Bandung City Inspectorate, Riki Fachdiar Iskandar, said that various efforts to improve the system in preventing corruption had been implemented by the Bandung City Regional Government. Among other things, through Bureaucratic Reform, Socialization, Anti-Corruption Campaign, MCP, Integrity Zone, WBK, WBBM, as well as the National Strategy for Preventing Corruption.
"The results of the 2023 Integrity Assessment Survey (SPI) provide further suggestions for the City Government in the form of outreach to shape the understanding of internal respondents," said Riki.
"Anti-corruption outreach must be carried out annually. Implementation of prevention of criminal acts of corruption can be done by managing conflicts of interest, refusing/reporting gratification, reporting LHKPN or LHKASN, as well as reporting Corruption that is seen, heard and known to employees," he advised.
