PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - That afternoon, gamelan music was heard in the Gending Pusaka Putra Art Circle, masterminded by Ki Asep Aceng Amung.

They are practicing to prepare for the Binojakrama Padalangan Wayang competition at the West Java Province level in 2023.

The Padalangan group with the name Gending Pusaka Putra, masterminded by Ki Asep Aceng Amung, will be the representative of Bandung City at the Binojakrama Padalangan at the West Java Province level in 2023.

"Currently we are practicing preparations for the Binojakrama Padalangan Wayang at the provincial level," said Asep Aceng Amung to the Bandung City Public Relations team (22/11/2023).

When met by the Bandung Public Relations Officer, Asep explained that the group's journey could represent the city of Bandung.

"We became representatives of the City of Bandung not just by luck but by effort. Because previously in 2022 we had become champions at the Bandung City level," he explained.

Previously, in 2014 the Padalangan Gending Pusaka Putra Group achieved achievements as runner up at the West Java Province level and 1st place at the Bandung City level.

Facing the West Java level Binojakrama Padalangan Wayang, Asep admitted to practicing every weekend.

"We make preparations almost every weekend. From Friday, Saturday to Sunday," he explained.

For this reason, Asep Aceng Amung invites the people of Bandung City to watch the Binojakrama Padalangan Wayang at the Soreang Cultural Building Complex, Bandung Regency on 27-28 November 2023.

Asep also advised generation Z and Millennials, to maintain and preserve pawayangan culture and other cultural arts, because all of this is the identity of Indonesian society.
