PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Regional Government is again holding the Buat Kamu (Beberes Untuk Asyiknya Sidewalk Kota Jadi Senang dan unggul) movement on Friday, (21/3/2025)

This time, For You, the focus on sidewalk cleanliness is being implemented at several strategic points, namely the sidewalks in the Asia Afrika area, Alun-alun, Otista, and Jalan Dalem Kaum.

Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan directly reviewed the activity. He said that this program is part of an ongoing effort to maintain the cleanliness and comfort of sidewalks in the city of Bandung.

"Last week we carried out a large-scale clean-up action at dawn. Well, this second week we have started implementing a system involving sub-district and village troops," he said.

"In the future, this activity will be managed directly by each region so that we can see the effectiveness of cleanliness management. That way, we can continue to evaluate which points need improvement," he added.

He ensured that the Bandung City Government does not only focus on large-scale developments such as shopping centers or shops, but also ensures that public spaces remain clean and comfortable for the public.

One of the main concerns in the For You movement this time is to ensure the cleanliness of the sidewalks on Jalan Asia Afrika.

Farhan said that this area must be free from the smell of urine and garbage so that it remains comfortable for pedestrians and tourists who often visit the area.

"The sidewalks in Asia Africa should not smell of urine. This is one of the icons of Bandung City that must always be kept clean so that it remains comfortable for everyone," he stressed.

In addition to monitoring the progress of the For You movement, the Mayor of Bandung also reviewed various public facilities along Jalan Asia Afrika.

According to him, the City Government is committed to continuing to improve infrastructure and ensuring that public facilities are maintained and function properly.

With this movement, he hopes that the people of Bandung will be more aware of the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness, especially in public spaces that are the face of the city. (Bandung City Government Public Relations/rka)
