PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - A total of 517 digital marketing and programming training graduates have completed the intensive Jabar Digital Academy 2024 training series.

Of this number, the 12 best graduates and the 10 best final project groups received certificates of appreciation from the Governor of West Java, represented by the Head of West Java Diskominfo, Ika Mardiah.

"Jabar Digital Academy is one of the strategic initiatives that supports the vision of West Java as a Digital Province. "Through this program, we equip talent in West Java with skills that are relevant in the industrial era 4.0," said Ika, in his speech at the 2024 West Java Digital Academy Graduation event which was held at Gedung Sate, Bandung, Thursday (18/7/2024).

Ika hopes that graduates can contribute significantly in various sectors, both in government, industry and entrepreneurship.

"Be an agent of change that encourages economic growth and increases regional competitiveness," added Ika.

Apart from that, Ika Mardiah expressed her thanks to all Jabar Digital Academy partners, including Amazon Web Services and Lintasarta, edu partners and regional officials who have made the Jabar Digital Academy 2024 program a success.

"This strong collaboration between the private sector, education and government has been the key to the success of the program," concluded Ika.

The Head of UPTD PLDDIG (Jabar Digital Service), Rizki Hustiniasari, said that more than 15,000 people had registered for the Jabar Digital Academy training.

Of this number, more than 12,000 of them have never participated in digital training before.

"This shows that the West Java Digital Academy has opened access for the public to gain new knowledge and skills in the digital era," he said.

The West Java Digital Academy is attended by participants from various backgrounds, such as high school and vocational school graduates, students, fresh graduates, BUMDes and MSMEs, people with disabilities, and professionals who want to change careers.

Apart from being trained, the 83 onsite participants were also given real projects that not only improved their technical skills, but also prepared them to face challenges in the world of work.

"Of course this is in accordance with what I need, because what is actually valuable is not only the technology we use, but whether the products we make are actually used by people," said Programming Class participant, Ignasius Yuda Adhitia.

Also present were Lintasarta's Director & Chief Commercial Officer, Fitrah Muhammad, Regional Community Engagement Manager Southeast Asia & China Amazon Web Services (AWS), Hidayah Utama Lubis, representatives of edu partners Alkademi, Dicoding, and Sanbercode, as well as representatives from regional apparatus (PD) who have collaborated in the success of the West Java Digital Academy training

The West Java Digital Academy Graduation event was filled with various activities, including exhibitions of technology projects created by the participants.

The graduates showed their innovative work, ranging from information system websites and correspondence for village governments to business plans for MSMEs.
