PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Garut Regent, Abdusy Syakur Amin, together with Garut Deputy Regent, Putri Karlina, accompanied the Deputy Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Immanuel Ebenezer Gerungan, and the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi, at the Grand Opening event of PT Ultimate Noble Indonesia in Cibatu District, Garut Regency, Monday (3/3/2025).
This event marks a major step in efforts to reduce unemployment and improve the welfare of the Garut community through the industrial sector.
In his speech, the Deputy Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Immanuel Ebenezer, appreciated the presence of PT. Ultimate Noble Indonesia which is able to absorb up to 10 thousand workers. According to him, this is a great hope for the people of West Java, especially Garut Regency.
"Firstly (the hope is) there will be absorption of labor, minimizing unemployment and poverty rates, that's for sure," he said.
He is optimistic that the company will run stably with the support of the local government and related stakeholders. Immanuel also emphasized the importance of maintaining a spirit of optimism in workforce development.
"This means that we must maintain this spirit, the state cannot convey things that are based on pessimism," he stressed.
West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi encouraged the Garut District Government to form a HRD manager group forum to facilitate communication and coordination related to employment.
Dedi also proposed a workforce database system, which records the number and qualifications of prospective workers in Garut Regency. With this system, companies can recruit workers more efficiently without a long job application process.
"Enter the database, how many workers are there in this factory, in which sub-district, in which district. Then state their skill qualifications," he explained.
He emphasized that companies should prioritize employee training over managing work requirements, which often burden job seekers.
"If the job fair system is used in every city district, then there is no need for job applications. The HRD manager simply checks the names, then calls them for an interview, then they are trained to work," he said.
Abdusy Syakur Amin, expressed his gratitude for the presence of PT. Ultimate Noble Indonesia in Garut Regency. He is committed to creating a conducive investment climate, so that the company can operate well without external interference.
"We hope the company can work seriously without outside interference," said Syakur.
He also asked the local government to provide a conducive climate for the company, so that the company can focus on its work considering that this will determine the company's competitiveness.
"As stated earlier, there is a burden on the company, there are irrelevant proposals, there are costs that are not related to operational activities, this must be eliminated," he stressed.
In the future, the Garut Regency Government through the Manpower and Transmigration Service (Disnakertrans) is ready to assist companies in obtaining workers according to their needs through the employment application that will be developed. (Garut Communication and Information Service/Fauziah)
