PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi performed the 1446 Hijri Eid al-Fitr prayer with thousands of people at Gasibu field, Bandung City, Monday (31/3/2025).

This is the first Eid prayer for Dedi since becoming Governor of West Java.

"This is my first Eid in Gasibu, usually in Purwakarta Square or at my house. This means that this is the first Eid held with the residents of Bandung City," said Dedi when met after Eid prayers.

Not only residents from Bandung City, the Eid prayer congregation also came from Lampung, Kalimantan, Garut, Karawang and other areas in West Java.

"I saw earlier that there were people from Lampung, Kalimantan, Garut, Karawang, Cianjur, and other areas in West Java who attended the Eid prayers here," said Dedi.

Eid al-Fitr prayers began at 06.30 WIB. The Eid prayer leader was led by Ahmad Aijun Nadjib and the sermon was delivered by UIN Bandung lecturer KH Tata Sukayat.

Governor Dedi Mulyadi also delivered a short speech during the Eid al-Fitr prayers.
In his speech, Dedi said that zakat receipts this year had increased by 100 percent.

According to him, this indicates that the awareness and ability of West Java residents to pay zakat is very good.

"The increase in zakat fitrah of more than 100 percent indicates that the awareness and ability of West Java residents to pay zakat has increased and the economic quality is relatively good," he said.

In addition, the takbiran night moment throughout the West Java region was also safe and under control.

"The night of takbiran went smoothly, there were no outstanding events," said Dedi.

Dedi also reported that the implementation of the homecoming flow went smoothly. This is inseparable from the coordination between Forkopimda, cross-sectoral, the Central Government and local governments that run effectively.

"The homecoming flow is well managed, indicating that cross-sectoral coordination, Forkopimda, Central and regional governments are running effectively," he said.

Dedi also said that West Java residents' awareness of their social and environmental responsibilities was increasing.

"Including my appeal regarding thuggery, the ban on asking for THR has resulted in solemnity in celebrating Eid al-Fitr," he said.

After Eid prayers, Dedi then "discussed" with the congregation. After that he held an "open house" Eid al-Fitr friendship with the community in Bale Pakuan Bandung.

The public can convey Eid greetings to the Governor starting at 08.00 - 10.00 WIB.
