Governor Dedi Mulyadi Delivers 2024 LKPJ, Appreciates Bey Machmudin

PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Governor Dedi Mulyadi submitted the West Java Governor's Accountability Report (LKPJ) for the 2024 fiscal year at the DPRD Plenary Meeting, Friday (21/3/2025).

According to Dedi, the 2024 LKPJ is the performance of the Provincial Government during 2024 which was then led by Acting Governor Bey Machmudin. Dedi himself has just been appointed as Governor of West Java on February 20, 2025, but the LKPJ must still be submitted to the DPRD as a constitutional obligation.

"The achievements are relatively good, although there are some things that need to be improved," said Dedi Mulyadi after the plenary meeting.

The submitted LKPJ will be verified by the DPRD Special Committee as a supervisor, to then provide notes and recommendations to the Provincial Government so that programs, policies, and financial management are even better.

"Solutions will be built into the future Revised RAPBD, including the budget shift that has been signed to be part of covering the shortfall in 2024," explained Dedi.

Dedi added that the 2024 LKPJ reflects the complexity and various challenges faced in running the government. One of which is currently being faced is natural disasters due to extreme weather.

Dedi reminded that behind the natural beauty of West Java, there is a potential for disaster that threatens the lives of its residents. For that, a quick response and synergy from all parties are needed.

"I realize that the journey towards progress and prosperity always requires hard work together, sincerity, and strong determination," said Dedi.

The Governor expressed his gratitude to the DPRD, which in its supervisory, budgeting and legislative functions has become the best partner of the West Java Provincial Government.

"We will continue to strive to be a responsive, transparent and accountable government in every policy step taken for West Java," he added.

Macro Indicator Achievement

In the 2024 LKPJ, West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi conveyed all the points that are development indicators based on the RPJMD targets.

Regional income was realized at IDR36.68 trillion or reached 101.08 percent. Regional spending was IDR36.91 trillion or realized at 96.31 percent. Regional financing was IDR1.23 trillion or realized at 100.03 percent, and financing expenditure was IDR618.80 billion or reached 100 percent.

Meanwhile, the achievement of macro performance indicators, the human development index is 74.92 points, the economic growth rate is 4.95 percent. While the percentage of poor people is 7.46 percent, the open unemployment rate is 6.75 percent, and the gini ratio index is 0.421 points.

Another important point conveyed, the average length of schooling is 8.87 years. Life expectancy is 75.16 years, stunting prevalence is 21.70 percent (2023 figures).

The child protection index reached 65.61 points (2023 figure), the youth development index 51.17 points (2023).
Throughout 2024, the Provincial Government won 151 awards consisting of 135 government awards, 10 non-government awards, six international institution awards, and seven national and international accreditation certifications.

"This award is a recognition of the collective achievements of the Provincial Government with strong support from the DPRD, as well as cooperation with district/city governments, the business world, academics, and the entire West Java community," concluded Dedi Mulyadi.
