PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The West Java Provincial Government is targeting the completion of road infrastructure development throughout the West Java region in 2027.

This was stated by the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi, when signing a Memorandum of Understanding on Handling Legal Problems in the Civil and State Administrative Fields between the West Java Provincial Government and the West Java High Prosecutor's Office at Bale Pakuan, Bandung City, Tuesday (15/4/2025).

On that occasion, the West Java Provincial Government also signed a joint agreement with 27 Regency/City Governments regarding the Management of Public Street Lighting on Provincial Roads in West Java.

Dedi stated that the construction of smooth roads to remote villages throughout West Java is targeted to be completed in 2027 to increase economic growth in villages.

"My target in 2027 is that all roads in West Java, national roads, toll roads, provincial roads, district roads, and village roads are well connected and in smooth condition and later that will create economic circulation," said Dedi.

For this reason, KDM, the nickname of Governor Dedi Mulyadi, ensured that all revenue from motor vehicle tax will be allocated for the development of road infrastructure in West Java.

"The total revenue from motor vehicle tax must be 100 percent for road infrastructure, then the road infrastructure includes road markings, PJU, CCTV, and various other park equipment that create comfort for road users," he explained.

Dedi also assessed that the signing of the MoU with the High Prosecutor's Office was concrete evidence of the West Java Provincial Government's assistance in carrying out road infrastructure development in West Java.

"Today we are making an MoU between the High Prosecutor's Office and the West Java Provincial Government, the District Prosecutor's Office and the Regent/Mayor. The legal umbrella and its companions are clear," concluded Dedi.
