PORTALJABAR, KARAWANG REGENCY - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi rotated and appointed a number of echelon II officials at the same level as the agency, bureau chief, and expert staff of the Governor.

There are a total of 15 civil servants in high-ranking leadership positions (JPT) who occupy new positions. The inauguration and appointment of positions were carried out at Karawang International Industrial City (KIIC), Thursday (3/27/2025).

According to the Governor, the rotation of civil servants in government is a necessity and there is always wisdom and benefits that accompany it. Civil servants have been sworn in to be willing to be placed and serve anywhere at any time. Integrity, loyalty to leaders, and devotion to the community need to be prioritized.

"Working with me is certainly tiring, many ideas come suddenly and must be realized. But be assured that there is always a solution," said Dedi Mulyadi.

The Governor appreciated the performance and contribution of the officials who were rotated while serving in their previous positions.

"I say thank you, good luck with your work, we all work for the good of the people of West Java," he said.

Several echelon II officials who shifted positions include Mas Adi Komar from Head of the Leadership Administration Bureau, now Head of Diskominfo. The position of Head of the Adpim Bureau is now entrusted to Akhmad Taufiqurrachman.

Then Ika Mardiah who previously held the position of Head of the Communication and Informatics Service, now holds the position of Head of the Human Resources Development Agency. Wahyu Mijaya, previously Head of the Education Service, is now Head of Bekesbangpol.

National Defense Education for ASN

In between the inauguration and appointment of a number of officials, Governor Dedi Mulyadi initiated national defense education for ASN of the West Java Provincial Government. National defense for ASN will be carried out in June 2025.

"I have asked the Regional Secretary (Herman Suryatman) that in June ASN will have national defense education, trained by the military and police," said Dedi Mulyadi.

National defense education for ASN, said Dedi, is part of building integrity. Furthermore, Dedi also asked BKD to announce not only the best performing ASN each month, but also the worst performing ones.

This is needed as a form of motivation for ASN to consistently maintain their best performance. In addition, performance assessment is also important as a form of alignment between the allowances received and the performance displayed by ASN.

"Later, every month the head of BKD will announce the most diligent and productive ASN, and ASN who are lagging or performing less than optimally," said Dedi.

"Announce it, it must be announced in every OPD," he stressed.
