PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - One day before the 2024 Asia Africa Festival, a number of final preparations have been made by the Bandung City Government.

From the monitoring of Bandung Public Relations, since morning, Friday (5/7/2024), various preparations have been made starting from installing tenancies, stages and various other ornaments to liven up the 2024 Asia Africa Festival.

Chairman of the Asia Africa Festival who is also Chairman of Riung Priangan and Chairman of the Bandung City Tourism Promotion Council, Arief Bonafianto, said preparations had reached the final stage.

He said, starting Friday (5/7/2024) at 20.00 WIB tonight, the Braga Short area will begin to close and open for work on the final stages of the Asia Africa Corner stage and tenancies.

"Preparations are 90 percent complete. Starting tonight from 20.00 we will start closing and opening the Braga area for final work on the Asia Afrika Corner Stage," said Arief.

Apart from that, tonight preparations will also be made on Jalan Asia Afrika.

Asia Africa Corner 2024 will open on Saturday (6/7/2024). A number of events will also be held starting from Cultural Dance or Similar and Perform Asia Africa Corner Main Artist.

Asia Africa Corner 2024 will feature 40 tenants in the SME category from 17 sub-sectors of creative economy actors curated by the Bandung City Disbudpar and Tokopedia team.

Then, there will be 20 tenants in the fashion category, 10 beauty and culinary categories. All 2024 Asia Africa Festival events will be held on Jalan Braga Short, Bandung City.

Next, on Sunday, 7 (7/7/2024), there will be even more excitement. Starting from local community performances, artistic performances, and other series leading up to the closing of the Asia Africa Festival.

Apart from that, during these two days there will be a series of activities such as coffee morning, city tour, cultural discussions, stage of art, Asia Africa Carnaval, and Asia Africa Corner.

A total of 31 delegates from Asian and African countries and 11 of them country ambassadors are certain to attend the 2024 Asia Africa Festival on Saturday-Sunday (6-7/7/2024).

The delegates will later take part in a city tour starting from Pendopo, heading to Bandung City Hall, Gedung Sate and Jalan Asia Afrika. Followed by the Asia Africa Carnival.
