Facing Long Holiday, PT KAI Prepares 74 Thousand Seats

PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - A total of 74,742 seats have been prepared by PT Kereta Api Indonesia Regional Operations 2 Bandung to welcome the long holiday at the end of January 2025, to meet the community's need for comfortable and safe transportation. Every day from January 24 to 30, 2025, 10,677 seats are available for trains to various destinations from the Daop 2 Bandung area.

Executive Vice President of KAI Daop 2 Bandung Dicky Eka Priandana said that his party had predicted an increase in the number of passengers during this holiday period.

"These are various anticipatory steps to provide the best service to customers, including adding train trips and improving facilities at stations," said Dicky, Thursday (16/1/2025).

To accommodate the surge in passengers, Daop 2 Bandung also operates an additional train Bandung - Solo Balapan with a choice of economy and executive classes with fares starting at Rp. 280 thousand. This train departs from Bandung Station at 10.25 and arrives at Solo Balapan Station at 19.24.

Tickets for all trips can be booked through the Access by KAI application, the official KAI website, and other official sales channels. In addition to adding train trips, Daop 2 Bandung also improves facilities at stations and trains, including providing a clean and comfortable Waiting Room in the Station Area and the availability of live music entertainment at Bandung and Kiaracondong Stations.

PT KAI Daop 2 Bandung appeals to all passengers to book tickets early so they don't run out, arrive at the station at least 1 hour before the departure schedule to avoid queues, comply with applicable regulations, including bringing the necessary travel documents and bringing luggage according to the maximum baggage limit of 20 kg per passenger.
