PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - PT Kereta Api Indonesia Operation Area 2 Bandung is adding train trips to serve the community during the 2023/2024 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) transportation period.

Daop 2 Bandung operates 4 additional trains for the departure period 21 December 2023 to 7 January 2024. These additional train tickets can be ordered via the Access by KAI application, the kai.id website, and all other official online sales channels. The station counter only sells go show tickets starting 3 hours before the scheduled train departure.

Daop 2 Bandung Executive Vice President Takdir Santoso said that in total KAI Daop 2 added 2,132 seats. These additional trains are available for favorite travel routes such as Bandung-Solobalapan, Bandung-Gambir and Kiaracondong-Surabaya Gubeng.

"KAI provides additional trains during the Christmas and New Year transportation period so that customers have more freedom in choosing departure schedules in advance," said Takdir, Monday ( 4/12/2023 )

"The presence of these additional trains shows KAI's readiness to provide transportation facilities for customers who want to travel during this Christmas period, and is a form of commitment to serve the community as well as possible," he added.

List of additional Daop 2 trains during the 2023/2024 Christmas period:

Departure from Bandung Station

1. Additional Lodaya train from Bandung to Solobalapan departs 10.15 to 19.24.

2. Additional Lodaya train connecting Bandung-Solobalapan departs 21.20 arrives 06.30.

3. Argo Parahyangan Additional Bandung-Gambir connections depart 19.45 to 22.41.

Departure from Kiaracondong Station

1. Additional KAC-SGU train for the Kiaracondong-Surabaya Gubeng connection departs 09.00 and arrives 22.41.

Regular Nataru train ticket sales are currently still available. Meanwhile, as of Monday (4/12) KAI Daop 2 recorded that 51,446 long-distance train tickets had been sold or 20% of the tickets provided, namely 252,552 tickets for the Christmas period from 21 December 2023 to 7 January 2024.

According to Takdir, this number will still increase, because sales are still ongoing. KAI hopes that people can immediately order tickets well in advance, because there are still quite a lot of train tickets available for the 2024 Christmas and New Year holidays. During this Christmas period, KAI sells tickets starting D-45 Departure.

"The favorite trains for Nataru transportation so far include the Kahuripan train, Kiaracondong-Blitar pp. and Lodaya train, Bandung-Solobalapan pp.," he said.
