PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting (Acting) Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin attended the Integrity Campaign Declaration with the theme "Reugreug Pageuh, Repeh Rapih" on Jl. Diponegoro, Bandung City, Sunday (6/10/2024).

According to Bey, the declaration is an important and strategic step to ensure that the 2024 West Java Pilkada campaign is carried out honestly, fairly and ethically.

"The 2024 (Regional Head) Election is an important momentum for the future of West Java. This declaration of an integrity campaign is a strategic step to ensure that the campaign runs honestly, fairly, and ethically," said Bey.

Bey also stated that during the 2024 Pilkada campaign period, all parties starting from the West Java KPU, West Java Bawaslu, candidate pairs (paslon), winning teams, to the community must maintain their integrity.

"Challenges such as money politics, politicization of SARA, hoaxes, and hate speech must be faced together so as not to damage unity and diversity," he said.

"I invite the public to reject money politics and SARA politicization. Elections must be a place to exchange ideas, not a place for division. In addition, let us fight hoaxes and hate speech, and ensure that the information we spread is true and accurate," he added.

Bey believes that with this declaration, all parties will work together to realize the 2024 West Java Pilkada which is peaceful and has integrity.

"This declaration is our moral commitment to realize peaceful and integrity-based elections. Let us show that West Java is capable of being an example of a healthy democracy," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of West Java Bawaslu Zacky Muhammad Zam Zam hopes that all parties will uphold the regulations and laws in carrying out all stages of the 2024 Pilkada campaign process.

"West Java Bawaslu hopes that all stages of the (campaign) process can be in accordance with the law," he said.

"We from the West Java Bawaslu encourage all parties, let us return to the campaign stage by conveying the vision and mission without using prohibited methods," he added.
