PORTALJABAR, BANJAR CITY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin said that Banjar City has a big contribution to agriculture in West Java to maintain food security.
This was expressed by Bey Machmudin when attending the Banjar City 21st Anniversary Plenary Meeting in the Singa Perbangsa Meeting Room of the Banjar DPRD, Wednesday (21/2/2024).
For this reason, Bey hopes that the Acting Mayor of Banjar, Ida Wahida, along with his staff and stakeholders will protect the agricultural and plantation sectors to help strengthen West Java's food security.
"Banjar City is also known as an agricultural and plantation center. The agricultural contribution of Banjar City is very important for the food supply in West Java," said Bey Machmudin.
To the community, the Banjar City Government, and all stakeholders, Bey invites them to collaborate in facing various challenges that will be faced in the future.
"I invite all elements of government, society and the private sector to work together to develop and overcome challenges so that Banjar City will be more advanced and more prosperous in the future," he said.
Bey said that the momentum of Banjar City's Anniversary must be greeted with a sense of optimism and a spirit of mutual cooperation with one another. This is in line with the Banjar City Anniversary theme, namely 'Rise Together, Grow Prosperously.'
"Let's welcome this happy moment, with optimism and a spirit of togetherness," said Bey.
In front of the stakeholders present, Bey revealed that on January 24 2024 the Pangandaran Railway will operate to Banjar Station.
"Let's welcome it by making the best use of this land transportation mode," he said.
"Of course, the operation of the Pangandaran Train will strengthen inter-city and inter-regional connectivity in West Java and open more doors to opportunities for economic growth, tourism and population mobility," concluded Bey.
