PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government won the Stop Open Defecation Free (ODF) 100 percent award at the National Health Day Ceremony in the Gedung Sate Yard (11/13/2023).
The award was presented by the Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin and received by the Acting Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono.
Bambang welcomed the award received by the Bandung City Government positively. According to him, this is the result of collaboration between regional apparatus organizations (OPD) and the community.
"We welcome it positively and of course we express our thanks. This is the result of collaboration within the Bandung City Government. Once again, we have proven that with collaboration we can provide optimal services for the community," said Bambang.
He also said that the Bandung City Government's strategy in efforts to increase the national health index was in line with national health issues.
These include, among other things, maternal and child reproductive health, improving community nutrition, preventing and controlling disease, empowering the community movement for healthy living, and strengthening the health system.
“This national issue is important for us to pay attention to. And I saw it from the Bandung City RPD. "Our strategy is in line with national issues," said Bambang.
Meanwhile Acting The Governor of West Java, Bey Machmudin advised all City/Regency Governments in West Java to provide adequate health services for the community.
This is said to be in line with the realization of the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
"Everyone has the right to receive adequate health services. And the state is responsible for adequate health services," he said when reading the message from the Minister of Health.
He also advised all Regency/City Governments in West Java to seriously develop the six pillars of health transformation that support the Indonesian health system.
These include: primary services, referral services, health resilience systems, health financing systems, health human resources, and health technology.
"With the enactment of Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning health, the government is currently preparing a Master Plan for the Health Sector which will function as a common direction in efforts to develop health throughout Indonesia," said Bey.
For information, this year's National Health Day carries the theme 'Health Transformation for Advanced Indonesia'.
Currently, the city of Bandung is also in the process of pursuing the title of Healthy City. Bandung City did not get this title, because before 2023, the ODF figure in Bandung City would not reach 100 percent.
