PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin invited West Java residents to mainstream Pancasila with contemporary methods and means in facing various challenges of the times.

Especially among youth, because at a time when the demographic bonus is occurring, millennials and Gen Z are the main actors in development.

Bey said this when he was the supervisor of the 2024 Pancasila Birthday Commemoration ceremony at the West Java Province level, Saturday (1/6/2024).

This year's commemoration of Pancasila's Birthday has the theme 'Pancasila is the Soul of Unifying the Nation Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045'.

"This theme contains the intention, Pancasila unites us with all ethnic, religious, cultural and linguistic differences in welcoming 100 years of Golden Indonesia," he said.

In his speech, Bey said that currently the Indonesian people should be grateful, the existence of Pancasila and the values it contains are the guides for national life.

"Pancasila contains noble values that uphold the values of inclusiveness, tolerance and mutual cooperation," said Bey.

Bey invited all components of the nation to work together to implement the values of Pancasila in every aspect of national and state life.

"Pancasila has proven to be able to unite us in facing various waves of challenges and historical tests, so that to this day Indonesia remains strong as a great nation," he said

With the rapid development of communication technology, Bey hopes that Pancasila can become a filter so that Indonesia does not experience disorientation in the future.

"Today's rapid information technology means that in receiving information it must be used wisely to broadcast positive content and narratives that reflect the values of Pancasila," he said.

Bey believes that with a strong Pancasila spirit, all future challenges can be overcome, especially in the midst of the current global crisis.

"We should be grateful that the Indonesian nation has proven to be a mature nation in democracy, nation and state," he said.

"We invite all components of the nation to work together to care for the gift of Pancasila through this Pancasila Commemoration Day," concluded Bey.
