PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Mayor of Bandung, Muhammad Farhan, ensured that all public services in Bandung City have returned to normal and are ready to serve the public.
He conveyed this after monitoring a number of public service points on the first day of work after the Eid holiday. One of them was to the Bandung City Public Service Mall (MPP) on Jalan Cianjur.
"Today we just want to make sure that public services in Bandung City have returned to normal on the first day of work after the Eid holiday. Alhamdulillah, everything is running smoothly and ready to provide good service," said Farhan, Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
Farhan explained that in MPP there are 31 public service tenants operating, with a total of 280 types of services that can be accessed by the public. All service units are functioning well and have not experienced significant obstacles.
While reviewing the Population and Civil Registration Service (Dukcapil), Farhan had the chance to meet a resident who was taking care of his father's death certificate. From there, the idea arose to speed up the process of issuing important documents such as death certificates through a door-to-door system.
The process can start with information from the RT, forwarded to the RW, sub-district, and related agencies. Officers can then come directly to the funeral home, for example during the second or third day of tahlilan, to help with the administrative process, he explained.
This initiative, according to Farhan, will not only increase service efficiency, but also be a form of government empathy towards the community who are worried.
Regarding the Work From Anywhere (WFA) policy, Farhan stated that most employees came directly to the office on the first day of work, so there was no disruption to public services.
"Today, not many are running WFA. Almost all employees are present in person and providing services," he added.
This monitoring is the initial step of the Bandung City Government in ensuring the quality and speed of public services are maintained, especially after the long national holiday. (Bandung City Communication and Information Service/Fauziah)
