PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin held Eid al-Fitr prayers at Gasibu Square, Bandung City, Wednesday (10/4/2024).

In his speech, Bey said, Eid al-Fitr is not just a celebration of victory after fasting for a whole month.

"This is also an important moment to reflect on the meaning and spiritual values contained in it," said Bey.

As a West Java resident, Bey reminded West Java's motto, namely gemah ripah, meaning fertile, prosperous, sufficient food and clothing and household items, harmonious and peaceful or safe and sound.

"These two concepts teach us to respect and protect natural resources and prioritize order, both in social life and in human relations," he said.

Bey also invited the people of West Java to maintain harmony and harmony between citizens so that West Java remains a peaceful and comfortable place to live.

"We must always maintain order and order and avoid all forms of disobedience and chaos," he said.

Bay also invites you to do self-introspection, reflect on your spiritual journey during the month of Ramadan and improve yourself to become a better human being in the future.

At the end of his speech, Bey thanked all the people of West Java for their participation and cooperation in maintaining order and peace during the month of Ramadan.
