PORTALJABAR, TASIKMALAYA REGENCY - West Java Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman reviewed the preparations for the implementation of the Re-vote (PSU) in Tasikmalaya Regency.
Based on his monitoring, Herman said that in general the PSU in Tasikmalaya Regency is ready to be implemented. There are 2,847 polling stations (TPS) ready to collect the votes of West Java residents in Tasikmalaya Regency on Saturday, April 19, 2025.
"I am currently in Tasikmalaya Regency, consolidating, checking preparations for the implementation of PSU in Tasikmalaya Regency," said Herman Suryatman, in Tasikmalaya Regency, Monday (14/4/2025) evening.
Regarding the budget, according to Herman, there are no more obstacles. As for logistics, they have been prepared and on Tuesday (15/4/2025) the KPU began distributing them.
Then related to disasters, it has also been anticipated. From the number of TPSs available, it is known that two TPSs were hampered by small landslides. However, the problem has been resolved by moving the TPS location to a safer place.
"We have also asked the West Java Provincial BPBD and the Tasikmalaya Regency BPBD to carry out mitigation if there is heavy rain or other things on the day, so that whatever the conditions, voting must run smoothly," said Herman.
"From the security side, the Regional Secretary (Tasikmalaya Regency) said that he has coordinated with the Police, Kodim, Satpol PP so that it runs smoothly," he continued.
Then, regarding other health issues, the Tasikmalaya Provincial and District Health Offices have also been prepared to ensure that officers at the TPS are in good health, and even if there are health problems, they can be handled as soon as possible.
"The situation is generally smooth, indeed there are currently a number of dynamics including on social media, hopefully they are under control, mitigated, and continuously monitored by the ranks of the Organizers and Bawaslu," he said.
Despite the re-election, the KPU still held various stages. The debate between candidates was held on Monday (14/5/2025) night. Then the campaign period will end on April 15, 2025. Then on April 16-18, 2025, the quiet period, then on Saturday, April 19, 2025, the re-voting will be held.
The PSU of Tasikmalaya Regency is expected to run smoothly from all aspects, from administrative to technical implementation. It can also display democratic justice comprehensively and transparently.
Regional Secretary of Tasikmalaya Regency, Mohammad Zen, welcomed the attention of the West Java Provincial Government regarding the implementation of the PSU in Tasikmalaya Regency.
Regarding the budget, Zen continued, starting today, the disbursement has begun. So there are no problems related to budget support.
"Then several things related to disaster mitigation have been prepared. So we feel regrouped for the April 19 voting date," said Zen.
Therefore, Zen also appealed to residents to come to the TPS on April 19, 2025, to exercise their voting rights.
