PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - The Regional Government of Garut Regency plans to build a 300 meter long flyover on Jalan Ibrahim Adjie. This step was taken as a result of coordination with the Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) regarding protected areas that should not be disturbed.
This was conveyed by the Head of the Garut Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Service, Agus Ismail, after accompanying the Acting Regent of Garut, Barnas Adjidin, to review the toll exit location plan in Banyuresmi District, Garut Regency, Tuesday (30/01/2024).
"Ibrahim Adjie Road was completed approximately 300 meters away from the flyover, therefore there is a segment that is included in our agreement with BKSDA," he said.
According to Agus Ismail, the construction of a flyover on Jalan Ibrahim Adjie is a priority in the infrastructure program, especially in the road and bridge sector. Apart from that, another priority program is accelerating anticipation of the construction of the Gedebage - Tasikmalaya - Cilacap (Getaci) Toll Road.
"Don't be (unprepared) for section 1, namely at the Pamekarsari toll exit, where one of the exits is Jalan Soekarno-Hatta and Jalan Professor Anwar Musaddad, which will later be connected to a road that connects to the Copong area," he said.
Agus mentioned several things that were emphasized by the Acting Regent of Garut, Barnas Adjidin, when reviewing several road developments in Garut Regency, starting from accelerating implementation to the appearance of icons in areas of roads under construction.
Apart from the infrastructure aspect, the Acting Regent emphasized the attractiveness of tourism potential. Agus is optimistic that the construction of the flyover will open up the potential for developing the tourism sector on Jalan Ibrahim Adjie, apart from being a solution to traffic jams on Jalan Otto Iskandar Di Nata.
"Because Jalan Ibrahim Adjie has great potential for tourism development," he said.
Agus hopes that the construction of a flyover on Jalan Ibrahim Adjie can become one of the legendary roads in Garut Regency. (rdp*)
