PORTALJABAR, CIAMIS REGENCY - SMKN 1 Ciamis held a series of activities to commemorate its 62nd anniversary with the theme "Serving, Inspiring, and Sharing." The activities took place from August 10 to 14, 2026, involving the school community and the surrounding community.

The principal of SMKN 1 Ciamis, Cepy Wahyudin, stated that the series of activities were part of the school's ongoing efforts to provide benefits to the community. The agenda included the distribution of basic food supplies, a Skills Program Expo, a bazaar, a mass circumcision, a fun run, donations to orphans, and a mass religious gathering.

"For 62 years, we have continuously strived to educate generations, inspire them every step of the way toward the future, and share knowledge, kindness, and real work with the community," he said on Tuesday (August 11, 2026).

One of the activities that is part of the anniversary series is the inauguration of KP Rosemary on August 11, 2026. The business unit has been running for six months and recorded a turnover of almost IDR 250 million.

According to Cepy, this achievement is one of the contributions of SMKN 1 Ciamis as a state vocational school that has implemented the Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD) in West Java.

"This is one of our contributions as a State Vocational School that has implemented BLUD in West Java Province," he said.

In addition to entrepreneurial activities, the school also held a mass circumcision for 10 local residents on August 12, 2026. Furthermore, a fun run with a distance of about 7 kilometers took place on August 13 and the anniversary series closed with donations to orphans and a grand tabligh on August 14, 2026.

The students also expressed their enthusiasm. Tiara Filiarani Adi, a 12th-grade student in MPLB 3, expressed her joy at still being able to participate in school activities even though she has entered 12th grade.

"I'm so happy. As 12th graders, we're still involved in this activity. I'm so grateful to be able to participate in this event," said Tiara.

Another student from the culinary department, Anggi, also enjoyed a series of activities that showcased works from various expertise programs.

"It was really exciting. I got to see various booths from other departments. There were so many interesting things," he concluded.
