PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Indonesia Balance Bike Community (IBBC), a push bike community founded by Rika Wilandari on February 27, 2021, has become a place for children aged 2 to 9 years to practice cycling without pedals.

The push bike concept is that children use their leg strength to push the bike while maintaining balance. This pedal-free bike has attracted great interest among Indonesian children.

IBBC regularly holds racing and training activities, including major events such as the Heroes Challenge Race 2024 Series 3 which was held at Sport Jabar, Arcamanik, Bandung City, Sunday (10/11/2024).

This event was attended by communities from various cities such as Malang, Jakarta, Surabaya, and areas in Central Java.

Although community-based, IBBC is open to the general public who want to join, simply by contacting the contact in the IBBC Instagram bio.

IBBC training schedule is held every Tuesday and Thursday at Ciwalk at 18.00 WIB. On weekends, training takes place at Summarecon or at Sport Jabar, depending on the availability of space.

IBBC founder Rika Wulandari hopes that the government will provide support for this positive activity, which is considered to be able to reduce children's dependence on gadgets and strengthen social interaction.

"Through this community, children who initially did not know each other can expand their friendships. In addition, this is also an opportunity for parents, especially mothers, to socialize and for fathers to build new networks," said Rika on the sidelines of the Heroes Challenge Race 2024 Series event, at Sport Jabar Arcamanik, Bandung City, Sunday (10/11/2024).

With the presence of IBBC, it is hoped that children can grow in an environment that supports physical and social development, providing happiness for children, peace for mothers, and new connections for fathers. (Diskominfo Kota Bandung/Revo)
