PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government is offering a Land and Building Tax (PBB) incentive of IDR 1 for investors who revitalize cultural heritage.

Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan conveyed the offer at Investor Day 2026 at the Grandia Hotel Bandung on August 19, 2026.

The incentive applies to buildings that have been designated as cultural heritage and have a Decree (SK) from the Bandung City Government.

This policy opens up opportunities for investors to develop historic buildings without losing their character and historical value.

"This will attract investors to come in and rebuild these heritage buildings without completely losing their character," he said.

Farhan said Bandung offers significant investment opportunities as the city's connectivity and strategic sector development become increasingly open.

The return of flights to Husein Sastranegara International Airport, the development of traditional markets, tourism, and trade have become investment opportunities.

"We're taking this opportunity to open our doors wide for investors to enter Bandung. The opportunities are immense," said Farhan.

The tourism and trade sectors are considered to have significant investment opportunities to drive economic activity and expand the business ecosystem.

The Bandung City Government is also targeting the higher education sector to attract talents from various regions to study in Bandung.

"With the large number of quality universities in Bandung, we want to invite the best talents from outside Bandung to study in Bandung," he invited.

The Bandung City Government is targeting investment realization of Rp11 trillion throughout 2026, with the first semester reaching more than Rp6 trillion.

"The actual target is IDR 11 trillion, but God willing, it can be achieved because in the first semester alone, we've already achieved more than IDR 6 trillion," he said.

Farhan also encouraged Bandung to become a technology hub with the support of its transformation into a financial and investment center.

"Bandung is the perfect place to become the PFI (Indonesian Financial Center)," said Farhan.

According to him, Bandung has the potential to develop the technology industry, including the construction of data centers that utilize the city's geographical conditions.

Building a vertical data center can be an option due to land limitations while also supporting the needs of the technology industry.

The energy supply from the Legok Nangka Waste to Electrical Energy (PSEL) is also considered capable of supporting the energy needs of data centers.

"Bandung is very ready to become one of the PFI," he said.
