PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - As a form of appreciation for the commitment of local governments in efforts to prevent corruption, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) gave awards to nine regions with the highest scores in the 2024 Monitoring Center for Prevention (MCP). This award was given in three categories, namely province, district, and city, and was announced to coincide with the launch of the 2025 MCP Indicator at the KPK's ACLC C1 Building, Wednesday (5/3/2025).

In the province category, the first rank was achieved by Bali Province with a score of 99, followed by West Java Province (97) and Riau Islands Province (96). Meanwhile, in the city category, Denpasar City achieved first position with a score of 99, followed by Mojokerto City (98) and Blitar City (98). For the district category, it was achieved by Tabanan Regency, Sragen Regency, and Batang Regency, which all obtained a score of 98.

Deputy for Coordination and Supervision (Korsup) of the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) Didik Agung Widjanarko appreciated the commitment of local governments in implementing MCP as an effort to prevent corruption. According to him, the success of MCP is not just a number, but also reflects the integrity and effectiveness of governance in the regions.

"So that MCP can have an impact on increasing the integrity of local government and reducing the risk of corruption in the regions," said Didik.

Didik also emphasized that this award should be a motivation for local governments to continue to improve the implementation of MCP, not just fulfill administrative obligations.

"We urge regional heads and their staff to immediately coordinate to observe the MCP indicators and follow up with real steps to prevent corruption, so that (regional governments) do not only submit documents and administration," said Didik.

"The Inspectorate must also play a role as quality assurance in ensuring the effectiveness of corruption prevention efforts carried out by regional apparatus," he concluded. (no)
