PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - Bogor Regency is preparing to hold a national-scale marathon event titled Taman Budaya Bogor Run 2025 on Sunday (11/5/2025). This event is the initial step of a series of activities to commemorate the 543rd Anniversary of Bogor (HJB), as well as being an important momentum that has a socio-economic impact.

Bogor Run 2025 is a historic moment because it also involves disabled athletes in the marathon race, a step that has not been widely initiated in Indonesia, even the world. More than 4,000 participants have registered, with around 46 percent coming from Bogor Regency and the rest from various other areas, including Jakarta and its surroundings.

"This event is not just a ceremony, but also has a significant impact on the local economy. The hotel occupancy rate around the event location has been almost full since long ago. Participants and supporters of the event not only run, but also stay, shop, and tour in Bogor Regency," said Bogor Regent, Rudy Susmanto at the Bogor Run press conference, at the Tegar Beriman Building Lobby, Cibinong, Friday (9/5/2025).

Present at the event were the Chairman of the Bogor Regency DPRD, the Regional Secretary of Bogor Regency, the Head of the Youth and Sports Service, the Director of the Cibinong Regional Hospital, the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Community Sports Committee (KORMI), the Chairperson of the Bogor Regency NPCI, and the ranks of the Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab).

Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto said that in addition to being a pioneer of the national marathon in Bogor Regency, this event is also an initial step to realize the big dream of presenting the Asia Marathon and World Marathon in Bogor Regency.

Bogor's youth are the driving force behind this event. Support from various sponsors and stakeholders is also very large, including the presence of several ministers who will participate.

Bogor Run is led by an officially licensed Race Director from America. With a track that has been certified by the All Indonesia Athletics Association (PASI) Center, this event not only presents running sports, but also combines Sundanese and international cultural values.
