PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government verifies the population data of prospective students to ensure the implementation of a fair, transparent, and accountable New Student Admissions System (30/6/2026).

Head of the Population and Civil Registration Service, Tatang Muchtar, said that any findings in the implementation of the New Student Admissions System will be followed up according to regulations.

"The Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil) understands the public's concern about the validity of the population data used in the SPMB implementation. Therefore, we will follow up on any findings through verification mechanisms in accordance with applicable regulations," said Tatang.

Tatang explained that the ongoing monitoring and verification mechanisms demonstrate the government's commitment to safeguarding the rights of all prospective students.

The Population and Civil Registration Service carries out administrative verification of population documents and prepares updates and even cancels documents if discrepancies are found.

This process was carried out together with the Bandung City Education Office, regional officials, and related regional apparatus to ensure the validity of the data.

"This verification is carried out not only to ensure administrative order, but also to protect the rights of the public who have complied with all provisions and to maintain public trust in the SPMB process," he said.

Tatang added that factual inspections regarding building functions were carried out in accordance with the authority of relevant agencies through coordination across regional agencies.

If the verification results find population administration violations, follow-up action will be taken according to the authority of each agency based on applicable regulations.

The Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil) urges the public to provide accurate population data so that all public services, including the New Student Admissions System, run fairly.

"We want to ensure that the data used in the SPMB is accurate so that every child gets a fair chance according to the regulations. We urge the public to wait for the verification results and not rush to conclusions before the entire process is complete," Tatang concluded.
