PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Province has won an award in the 2023 Proud Tour in Indonesia (ABBWI) Award. West Java became the winner at the national level in the Java and Bali region, beating Yogyakarta and Bali.

The award was given by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment of the Republic of Indonesia at the Mulia Senayan Hotel, Jakarta, Friday (15/12/2023). West Java beats DKI in second place and East Java in third place.

"Thank God, we received the national BBWI award for the Java and Bali Category," said Head of the West Java Province Tourism and Culture Service, Benny Bachtiar.

"This is proof that our hard work is bringing results. Hopefully in the future we will be even more enthusiastic about making West Java an inner and outer champion in the tourism sector," he added.

In participating in this event, West Java placed the Greater Cirebon area as assessment material.

This was chosen because Greater Cirebon, with all its potential, was considered capable of becoming a tourism gateway like Greater Bogor, Greater Bandung and South West Java.

Winner 3: Lampung

Java & Bali Region:
Winner 1: West Java
Winner 2: DKI Jakarta
Winner 3: East Java

Kalimantan and Nusa Tenggara Region:
Winner 1: West Nusa Tenggara
Winner 2: East Kalimantan
Winner 3: Central Kalimantan

Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua regions:
Winner 1: Southeast Sulawesi
Winner 2: Central Sulawesi
Winner 3: North Sulawesi
