PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - The Bogor Regency Government (Pemdakab) officially received a grant for the "Skybridge" Flyover (Bojonggede) from the Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ).
The grant was given by Jabodetabek (BPTJ) to the Acting Regent of Bogor Bachril Bakri, in the Bogor Regent's Meeting Room, on Friday (4/10/2024).
Bachril Bakri explained that with this handover, maintenance and development, including improving facilities and infrastructure, have also become the responsibility of the Bogor District Government.
"Of course, we, the Bogor Regency Government and the community are very grateful for this grant, we are very happy and pleased. With this handover, both maintenance and development will be our responsibility in the future," he said.
Bachril said that the construction of this flyover has a big impact in helping to overcome traffic jams and providing easy accessibility for the public.
In the same place, Acting Head of BPTJ Suharto revealed that the Bojong Gede Skybridge flyover was inaugurated on December 9, 2023 by the Indonesian Minister of Transportation together with Bogor Regent Iwan Setiawan, whose construction reached 18.6 billion.
He added that today the management of the Bojong Gede Skybridge flyover has been officially handed over.
"Hopefully, with the handover of the Bojong Gede Skybridge flyover today, we can together make the Bojong Gede terminal a type C terminal. Hopefully, the skybridge will continue to provide extraordinary benefits for the people in the Bogor Regency area," he explained.
In addition, the Head of the Bogor Regency Transportation Agency, Agus Ridhallah, stated that the Bojonggede Skybridge is a very important part for the government in order to improve services to the community.
It should also be noted that this Skybridge connects Bojonggede Station with Bojonggede Terminal, where Bojonggede Station currently has a passenger volume of between 50,000 to 70,000 per day, and is the largest in Jabodetabek.
"We have operated the Skybridge and it is indeed not optimal, hopefully BPTJ can develop the next stage, because currently those who will cross towards Jakarta must turn around, hopefully later it can be connected to facilitate public accessibility," said Agus.
