PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BOGOR - Acting (Pj) Chairperson of the Regional National Crafts Council (Dekranasda) of Bogor Regency, Siti Chomzah, together with Chairperson of the Dharma Wanita Association (DWP) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), Nani Suhajar Diantoro, directly inspected the exhibition stand for Bogor Regency craft products in international activities Handicraft Trade Fair (Inacraft 2024), which took place at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday (28/2/2024).

The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, after officially opening the Inacraft 2024 exhibition, took the time to visit the Dekranasda stand and the Bogor Regency Tourism and Culture Service (Disparbud) stand to see and buy several handicraft products produced by the Bogor Regency Dekranasda.

Siti Chomzah revealed that there were nine craft products displayed, including fashion, accessories, knitwear, carved stone, Kemang Batik and batik made from coconut charcoal. He hopes that this event can help Bogor Regency MSMEs.

"Hopefully the Inacraft 2024 event can encourage MSMEs to promote their products optimally," said Siti.

According to Siti, the Inacraft 2024 activity could be a study material for craftsmen to learn about superior craft products from other regions. Furthermore, said Siti, Bogor Regency can continue to participate in this activity.

"We hope that every year this activity can be continuously participated in by the Bogor Regency Dekranasda. Because at Inacraft there is also an Inacraft Award, namely an award given to craft products which of course have been selected and selected, and we from Bogor Regency are displaying two products that "will be judged in the Inacraft Award, namely carved stone crafts and clocks made from bamboo without batteries. These two crafts are extraordinary works of art. Hopefully we can be the best at the 2024 Inacraft Award," he explained.

Furthermore, the Head of the West Java Province Department of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (DiskopUKM), Rochmat Taufik Garsadi, expressed his appreciation for the participation of the Bogor Regency Dekranasda in Inacraft activities in 2024.

He said that the crafts that could appear in this event were superior products that had gone through a very selective curation stage and were ready to be marketed.

"Continue to improve the quality of the product, don't let it decline, and follow it continuously every year," he said.

Also present at this event were the Head of Disbudpar, Head of the DiskopUKM Service, Head of the Fisheries and Livestock Service, Secretary of Diskominfo, Head of the Economy Division, and craftsmen and MSME actors in Bogor Regency.
