PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BOGOR - Acting Bogor Regent Asmawa Tosepu received a working visit from the Head of the Indonesian National Counter-Terrorism (BNPT), Komjen. Pol. H. Mohammed Rycko Amelza Dahniel at the Bogor Regent's Office, Cibinong, Friday (12/7/2024).

BNPT plans to make Bogor Regency a pilot district for Kebangsaan Regency.

The meeting discussed a number of BNPT agendas and work programs that could collaborate and synergize with the Bogor Regency Regional Government (Pemdakab). One of them, BNPT will make Bogor Regency a model district as a National District.

Asmawa Tosepu explained that the Bogor District Government was grateful for the presence, visit and direction from the Head of BNPT, in order to protect the citizens of Bogor Regency from being exposed to the ideology of radicalism and terrorism.

"The point is that BNPT wants to make Bogor Regency a national district, in which there is an Alert Village, there is also a Peace School, then there is also a Nationality Campus. "Of course the government and the people of Bogor Regency are very grateful, welcome the initiation and we will put it in the form of an MOU," explained Asmawa.

Asmawa also said that the BNPT office is in the Bogor Regency area, BNPT has a museum about how to provide education for handling terrorism.

He said that the Bogor Regional Government would fully support schools in Bogor Regency to learn about this matter in order to prevent the entry of radicalism and terrorism ideologies.

"Including the Peace School for middle and high school levels, then the national campus at the tertiary level, and the Peace Village. "The aim is to build community resilience against various ideologies that are incompatible with national, state and social life," explained Komjen Pol. Rycko.

He added, Building a resilient nation can start from Bogor Regency, because it is a very strategic area, and has a large area, and also has the largest district population in Indonesia.
