
PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - The Bogor Regency Government has recorded significant development achievements after the 2025 Regional Competitiveness Index ranked the region among the three most advanced regencies in West Java with a score of 3.94, based on data from the National Research and Innovation Agency (2025).
This achievement is an improvement compared to 2024, which placed Bogor Regency in fourth place with a score of 3.81.
Bogor Regency also ranked as the fourth most developed region in the Java region with a score of 89.940.
The Regional Competitiveness Index assessment measures five main indicators, namely Gross Regional Domestic Product, infrastructure, human resources and education, investment and industry, and regional growth.
The Bogor Regency Government is directing development towards accelerating infrastructure, improving the quality of human resources, and strengthening regional investment.
This policy encourages economic growth while strengthening Bogor Regency's position as a strategic buffer zone for the capital and part of the Greater Jakarta metropolitan area.
Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto is directing various development programs, ranging from bureaucratic digitization through an Electronic-Based Government System, strengthening regional innovation, to developing the industrial sector, modern agriculture, and tourism.
Infrastructure development and regional connectivity also increase logistics efficiency and strengthen investment attractiveness in the region.
The large population makes Bogor Regency have strong market potential and also plays a role as a driving force for the West Java economy.
Head of the Regional Development Planning, Research and Innovation Agency of Bogor Regency, Bambam Setia Aji, said that this achievement was the result of targeted development planning.
"This achievement demonstrates that, in terms of planning, Bogor Regency has followed the Regent's directives, particularly in improving the investment climate. With focused and sustainable planning, Bogor Regency's competitiveness continues to improve significantly," said Bambam.
The Bogor Regency Government remains focused on improving the quality of human resources and equitable development across regions so that the benefits of development are felt by the entire community.
This step was taken to maintain regional growth while strengthening Bogor Regency's competitiveness at the national level.
