As of February 6 (at 9.30 WIB), during the 7 days from February 5 - 11 2024, the number of train passengers reached 77,278 people.

Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 2 Bandung, Ayep Hanapi, explained that the train trips that are people's favorites during this holiday period include the Argo Wilis train with Bandung - Surabaya Gubeng, the Turangga train with Bandung - Surabaya Gubeng, the Lodaya train with Bandung - Solobalapan, the Malabar train with Bandung. - Poor thing.

"The Kahuripan train is Kiaracondong - Blitar and the Kutojaya Selatan train is Kiaracondong - Kutoarjo. The people's favorite routes during the long weekend period are Bandung - Surabaya Gubeng, Bandung - Solobalapan, Bandung - Malang, Kiaracondong - Blitar," said Ayep, Tuesday (6 /2/2024).

Ayep appealed to train customers to pay attention to the train departure schedule stated on the ticket or e-ticket for train departures.

"We also appeal to customers to come early to the station to avoid traffic jams so they don't risk missing train information and always pay attention to the announcer or regarding the departure and route provided for their train while at the station," he said.

Ayep said that there is high public interest in using KAI services because they are safe and free from traffic jams and the company's services continue to improve.

"The high public interest in using train services during this long weekend is also due to the advantages of trains as mass transportation that is safe and free from traffic jams on the highway," he added.

Ayep reminded train customers to pay attention to the luggage rules, namely the maximum volume is 20 kg or 100 dm3 volume with maximum dimensions of 70 cm x 48 cm x 30 cm.

Baggage that is overweight, up to a height of 40 kg or with a volume of 200 dm3 (with maximum dimensions of 70 cm x 48 cm x 60 cm), is permitted to be carried subject to excess baggage fees or purchasing an extra seat. "The additional fees for baggage are for executive class IDR 10,000.00 per kg, business class IDR 6,000.00 per kg and economy class IDR 2,000.00 per kg," he said.

"Apart from that, train customers are not permitted to carry certain items in train baggage, including flammable items, firearms/sharp weapons, narcotics, illegal drugs and other additives, objects/goods those with strong odors and pets," he said. (no/rdp*)
