PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The West Java Provincial Government will temporarily close the Gasibu area starting September 1, 2026. This closure is carried out in order to support the implementation of the arrangement and optimization of the area as a more organized, safe, comfortable, and functional public space.

The Head of the West Java Communications and Informatics Agency, Adi Komar, stated that the development of the Gasibu area encompasses several projects, including the development of a jogging track and improvements to supporting facilities. The work is being carried out comprehensively, while maintaining quality, safety, and public comfort.

The arrangement process is projected to last until early 2027. Adi said that this time span is necessary so that the Gasibu arrangement can run optimally.

"During the redevelopment process, the public is advised not to conduct activities within the Gasibu area for safety and the smooth running of the work," Adi said on Monday (31/8/2026).

The public is also expected to adjust their activities and follow official information from the West Java Provincial Government regarding developments in regional planning.

The West Java Provincial Government expressed its appreciation and gratitude for the community's understanding and support during the redevelopment process. This temporary closure is part of an effort to create a more organized Gasibu area that provides greater benefits to the community.

Once the entire redevelopment process is complete, the Gasibu area will be reopened and can be used by the public as a public space with better, safer, more comfortable facilities that support various community activities.
