PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi stated that children's habit of playing with gadgets for too long can be detrimental to their health. This habit leads to less movement, preventing the body's nutrients from being converted into energy.

As a result, children become more susceptible to illness and experience high emotional levels. Several diseases commonly suffered by adults are now being found in children, including kidney failure and diabetes.

"The threat to the future is not only malnutrition, but also nutrition and nutrients that are not managed to become energy," said KDM, Dedi Mulyadi's nickname.

Therefore, he urged parents to pay attention to their children's lifestyles. Encourage them to participate in activities that require a lot of movement. Also, monitor their diet to prevent them from consuming too many unhealthy foods and drinks, including those high in sugar.

On that occasion, KDM also conveyed the West Java Provincial Government's plan to improve nutrition for pregnant women.

"If a pregnant woman is having problems, she can go to a store, minimarket, or anywhere else to get food to eat during her pregnancy. We are currently formulating this, as it's the state's responsibility," explained KDM.

According to KDM, the state must be materially responsible for the intake of nutritious food, quality drinks, and clean air.

"All countries must be responsible for this. They must pay attention to the material aspects of human development at all times," he said.
