PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi saw off the late Danny Setiawan, who was the Governor of West Java for the 2003–2008 period at the funeral home on Jalan Anggrek No. 14, Bandung City, heading to the family cemetery in Purwakarta Regency.

In his remarks, KDM, Dedi Mulyadi's nickname, said that the deceased was the best son of West Java and was a chosen person who devoted himself to West Java.

"Today, Saturday (19/9/2026) the people of West Java have been left by their elder, namely Mr. H. Dani Setiawan," said KDM.

According to KDM, the deceased was one of the sons of the Sundanese people who was chosen to serve his homeland, country and even lead the West Javanese people.

"He left behind many good deeds, firstly, his kindness to the people of West Java, and secondly, his kindness to the land of West Java. During his leadership, he was a just and wise leader," he said.

KDM admitted that he was one of those who received guidance from the deceased during his time as Deputy Regent of Purwakarta. The deceased had provided assistance for school construction in Purwakarta.

"The deceased provided assistance to a school with Sundanese identity, named Kahuripan Pajajaran Elementary School. He also supported him in becoming Regent at that time," he explained.

Now, according to KDM, the deceased has carried out his duties perfectly, namely his duties as a human being, head of a family, and regional leader.

"In Shaa Allah, I testify that the late Father Deni Setiawan was an expert in goodness, an expert in worship, an expert in heaven," he said.

KDM also prayed that the deceased's faith and Islam would be accepted and that his body would be stretched out in his grave.
