PORTALJABAR, SUMEDANG REGENCY - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi returned the Binokasih Crown (Binokasih Sanghyang Pake) to the Sumedang Larang Palace after it was brought to the Tatar Sunda Milangkala Parade to nine cities/regencies in West Java.
Through a welcoming procession, the Binokasih Crown, which is a 14th-century heirloom of the Sunda Kingdom, was returned to the Prabu Geusan Ulun Museum in Sumedang Regency.
West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi said that the Tatar Sunda Cultural Parade has had an impact on improving the community's economy.
"Just look at the hotels being full, the number of visitors to West Java is increasing, and several areas are starting to look cleaner," explained KDM, Dedi Mulyadi's nickname, at the Sumedang State Building, Monday (May 18, 2026).
After the parade, KDM hopes that all areas in West Java will be much better, starting from cleanliness to environmental management.
He cited the example of the layout of the palaces in Cirebon. The existing palaces lack open space because they are surrounded by new buildings. The new buildings surrounding the palaces also don't harmonize with the palaces.
"Going forward, all the buildings around the palace must be in harmony, only then will a wave of public visits be generated," he said.
KDM reminded the community and local governments not to rush to increase tourist visits, but to prioritize developing the area for the better.
"The most important thing is, we shouldn't think about tourism yet, let's not think about people visiting yet. Just one thing: let's take care of our overtime, organize the city. That's it for now, and there will be wisdom after that," KDM concluded.
