
PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi said that his party will provide national defense education and discipline education in military barracks to youths and adults who disrupt the conduciveness or cause unrest in society.
"Those who behave criminally will have the legal process carried out. Then there are also efforts that can be made, coaching for those who do not fulfill the elements of a crime but are causing unrest, namely being taken to the military barracks," said KDM --Dedi's nickname-- in a video uploaded to his official Instagram account, Saturday (10/5/2025).
KDM said that the national defense education program and discipline education for young adults are planned to take place after the discipline education for children is completed.
"After the national defense education program, discipline education for West Java children is completed. What month? Yes, hopefully it can start in June," he said.
"So, naughty young adults who are thugs, who want to be thugs, who are drunkards, troublemakers, disrupting markets, disrupting intersections, disrupting investment, later we will direct them to take part in national defense education at the military barracks," he added.
Secretary of the West Java National Unity and Politics Agency, Sapta Yulianto Dasuki, emphasized that the West Java Bakesbangpol will prepare everything so that the program runs smoothly on time.
"We have prepared everything, including data collection of prospective participants. So that there is certainty about the number," said Sapta.
