PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Infrastructure development in rural areas is important in accelerating public services for the community.

This was stated by the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi, after holding a Coordination Meeting on the Gawe Rancage Pak Kades Jeung Pak Lurah at Bale Asri Pusdai, Bandung City, Monday (28/4/2025).

The coordination meeting was attended by the Minister of Health, Minister of Social Affairs, Minister of Environment, Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions, Minister of Population and Family Development/BKKBN and the Head of the National Nutrition Agency.

Also present were the Regents/Mayors and Village Heads/Head of Sub-districts from 27 Regencies/Cities throughout West Java.

Through collaboration between the central and regional governments down to the village/sub-district level, Governor Dedi Mulyadi hopes to be able to provide solutions for the community in realizing improved health, better waste management and food security.

"We make commitments, accelerate what the public needs in West Java," said KDM, Dedi Mulyadi's nickname.

According to him, rural areas are the central point in West Java. Therefore, supporting infrastructure to serve residents must be repaired immediately.

"There is infrastructure to improve public health, handling stunting, preventing maternal mortality, preventing pregnant women from dying during childbirth, and preventing toddlers from dying due to the birth process. Then there is increasing food security, village cooperatives, and public schools," he explained.

He hopes that through collective collaboration between the central and regional governments, better and more beneficial services can be integrated for citizens.

"That's what's become something today, integrated between the central government to the RT level," said KDM.
