PORTALJABAR, KARAWANG REGENCY - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi attended the ceremony "3 Million Exports for Indonesia: A Journey of Growing Together to Build National Prosperity" at PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) Karawang Plant 1, Karawang Regency, Thursday (9/10/2025).

On the occasion, KDM—Dedi Mulyadi's nickname—expressed his full support for domestic vehicle exports. He encouraged accelerated connectivity and smooth exports from industrial areas, particularly in West Java, such as Karawang and Subang.

According to him, completing the toll road access to Patimban Port in Subang Regency is an urgent matter so that export activities can run more efficiently.

"There are still shortcomings at Patimban Port. Toll access must be accelerated immediately so that exports can run smoothly," said KDM.

KDM added that smooth exports would have a broad impact on economic growth, both at the macro and micro levels.

"If exports run smoothly, more people are employed. When people work, their stalls sell well, their families are happy, and there are no economic problems," he added.

Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto is pushing for the acceleration of a number of international trade agreements between Indonesia and friendly countries to expand export market access.

According to Airlangga, this step is in line with the direction of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, who is actively opening new markets and increasing the quota of Indonesian products in export destination countries.

"Indonesia is continuing negotiations with multiple foreign blocs," Airlangga said.

He added that the achievement of national automotive exports, particularly by PT TMMIN which has reached three million units to 100 countries since 1987, is the result of a strong domestic supply chain ecosystem.

The supply chain involves small and medium industries, such as steel, plastic, tire, rubber and glass factories.

"This component involves 540 tier 2 suppliers and 240 tier 1 suppliers, with a total workforce of 360,000 people," Airlangga said.

"This is concrete evidence of Indonesia's competitiveness on the global stage," he added.
