PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Special Dulag Festival 1447H/2026 AD was held in the courtyard of Gedung Sate, Bandung City, on Friday (March 20, 2026). The festival aims to preserve a tradition that is now rarely performed in mosques and also serves as a means of fostering friendship.

The Special Dulag Festival was attended by 57 participants, consisting of 37 participants from Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) within the West Java Provincial Government and 20 participants from districts and cities in West Java.

"The tradition of 'beating the beduh' (drum) is almost non-existent, let alone in city centers, even in villages. Many mosques no longer have a beduh," said West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi.

According to KDM, Dedi Mulyadi's nickname, the Special Dulag Festival was also held with the aim of ensuring that similar activities, such as takbiran, are carried out more orderly.

"Not in the form of a traveling takbiran, which causes traffic jams and sometimes leads to conflict," he said.

In addition, KDM also said that the Special Dulag Festival is a gathering event between stakeholders and all levels of society in West Java.

In the festival, at the OPD level of West Java Province, 1st place was won by the Health Service, 2nd place by the Education Service and 3rd place by the Regional Personnel Agency.

The Regional Secretariat won first place, the Investment Agency second place, and the Regional Disaster Management Agency third place. Meanwhile, the Water Resources Agency won the Favorite Award in the OPD category.

For the district and city category, 1st place was won by Karawang Regency, 2nd place was won by Purwakarta Regency and 3rd place was won by Bandung Regency.

Hope 1 was won by Sumedang Regency, Hope 2 by Majalengka Regency and Hope 3 by Bandung Regency.

Meanwhile, the favorite winner in the district and city category was won by Tasikmalaya City.

In addition to receiving trophies, the winners of the 1447H/2026 M Special Dulag Festival also received prize money for First Place worth Rp15 million, Second Place worth Rp12.5 million and Third Place worth Rp10 million.

The winners of the hopefuls also received trophies and prize money of Rp. 7.5 million for Hope I, Rp. 5 million for Hope II and Rp. 2.5 million for Hope III.

Meanwhile, the favorite participants will receive a trophy and prize money of IDR 10 million.
