PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi appealed to the people of West Java, especially Bobotoh Persib Bandung, not to be too euphoric about Persib's victory against Persija in the continuation of the 2025/2026 Super League.

Bobotoh fans also don't need to show any arrogance over Persib's victory. Meanwhile, the losing team needn't be discouraged.

"The appeal is not to be euphoric about victory, but to pay attention to the steps we will take going forward, and to show that we are a nation of knights," said KDM, Dedi Mulyadi's nickname, on Monday (May 11, 2026).

Furthermore, KDM has allowed Persib to choose the location of the celebration if they win the 2025/2026 Super League. The celebration could be held in Bandung or outside of Bandung.

West Java Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Setiawan also urged Bobotoh (fans celebrating Persib Bandung's victory) to adhere to the rules and maintain safety. "We must not compromise our own safety," he said.

"Don't disturb or harm other parties because when we celebrate, of course there are other brothers and sisters who have interests on the road, so we must also respect that," said the Regional Police Chief.

The Regional Police Chief stated that the current situation in West Java is conducive and it is hoped that there will be no more clashes between football team supporters.
