PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Governor Dedi Mulyadi issued a circular regulating education with the Panca Waluya Gate concept.

The Gapura Panca Waluya education concept aims to produce school students who are cageur, bageur, bener, smart, singer, or healthy, good, correct, smart, and fast.

Circular letter numbered 43/PK.03.04/KESRA is addressed to the regents/mayors who have authority over Early Childhood Education - Elementary School - Middle School, the Head of the West Java Education Office who manages Senior High Schools/Vocational High Schools and equivalent, and the Office of the Ministry of Religion which oversees Islamic boarding schools.

The Governor's Circular Letter Gapura Panca Waluya, among other things, mandates the improvement of facilities and infrastructure, including toilets in classrooms.

The circular also reaffirms the prohibition of study tours that burden parents. Study tours can be replaced with various innovation-based activities, such as managing independent waste, organic farming systems, animal husbandry, fisheries and marine affairs, and increasing insight into the business world and industry.

The SE also prohibits schools from holding graduation ceremonies at all levels of elementary and secondary education. Graduation is only a ceremony that has no academic meaning for the development of education.

The circular also emphasized that schools should welcome the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program evenly.

For snacks, students are expected to bring their own food from home so they don't buy snacks at school. Pocket money is set aside for savings.

Then, students who are not old enough are prohibited from using motorized vehicles, and optimizing the use of public transportation, or walking within a range according to the physical abilities of the students.

For students in remote areas, tolerance is given as an effort to facilitate student reach from home to school.

The seventh step is to increase discipline, as well as a sense of pride as citizens who love the Republic of Indonesia. Every student is encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities such as scouts, flag raising, youth red cross, and other activities that have positive implications for the formation of national character.

KDM also emphasized that for students who have special behavior, who are often involved in brawls, playing online games, smoking, getting drunk, racing motorbikes, using noisy exhausts, and other inappropriate behavior, special guidance will be given, after obtaining approval from parents, through a cooperation pattern between the Provincial Government, district/city governments, and the TNI/Polri.

Lastly, KDM emphasizes improving moral and spiritual education through a religious education approach, in accordance with each person's beliefs.
