PORTALJABAR, WEST BANDUNG REGENCY - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi will relocate residents affected by landslides in West Bandung Regency. The decision was made during a visit to the landslide site on Saturday (January 24, 2026).

According to Dedi Mulyadi's observations, the area around the landslide site is filled with vegetable gardens. Given the hilly terrain, vegetable gardens are vulnerable to landslides. Therefore, it is extremely dangerous for residents to continue living in the area.

"The area here should be reforested. Residents here are being relocated due to the high potential for landslides," said KDM, Dedi Mulyadi's nickname, in Cisarua District, Saturday (January 24, 2026).

In the meantime, landslide survivors are being asked to rent a house for two months. The West Java Provincial Government is providing Rp 10 million per family to cover rental costs and daily living expenses.

Meanwhile, families of victims who died due to the landslide will receive compensation of IDR 25 million per family.

KDM continued, saying that the West Java Provincial Government is currently focused on searching for victims still buried by the landslide and restoring the area. A joint team comprising the West Java Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the West Bandung Regency BPBD, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), and volunteers is conducting the search to the fullest extent possible.
