PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi emphasized that scholarship funds for private high school/vocational school students will still be prepared in the 2026 West Java Regional Budget.

He stated that the funds would be included in the budget shift in the 2026 Regional Budget (APBD) because they were still awaiting definitive data on scholarship recipients. This data would only be available in the 2026/2027 academic year.

"The learning process will start in June or July. So, we haven't been able to get updated data on the number of underprivileged first-grade students in private schools for the 2026/2027 academic year," said KDM, Dedi Mulyadi's nickname, at Gedung Sate on Tuesday (3/2/2026).

Confirmation of recipient data will serve as a basis for budgeting scholarship assistance for students in private schools. This data will only be available after registration for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Previously, Commission V of the West Java Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) stated that scholarship allocations for poor students in private high schools and vocational schools had not been allocated in the 2026 Regional Budget. Commission V of the DPRD also asked the West Java Provincial Government to shift the 2026 Regional Budget so that scholarships for poor students in private high schools and vocational schools were allocated.

The West Java Provincial Government will allocate a total of Rp218 billion in scholarships for underprivileged students in private high schools and vocational schools in 2026. This includes Rp150 billion in operational scholarships for private schools and Rp68 billion in personal scholarships.
