PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi asked Bekasi Regent Asep Surya Atmaja to immediately mobilize all regional apparatus organizations (OPD) to improve the quality of public services and accelerate infrastructure development in Bekasi Regency.

Dedi emphasized that the success of local governments must be reflected in the services directly felt by the community, starting from road conditions, the quality of educational facilities, to health services at community health centers and hospitals.

This message was conveyed by Dedi when inaugurating Asep Surya Atmaja as Regent of Bekasi for the remainder of the 2025–2030 term at Bale Gede Pakuan, Bandung City, Friday (23/10/2026).

"For this reason, I ask Dr. Asep, as regent, to lead all regional government organizations in Bekasi, improve public services, and increase infrastructure spending," said KDM, Dedi Mulyadi's nickname.

According to KDM, infrastructure development must be a serious priority so that the public can experience the tangible benefits of the budget managed by the local government. He wants roads in Bekasi Regency to be in good condition, school facilities to improve, and healthcare services to be of higher quality.

"The roads must be smooth, the schools must be good, the health centers must be the best health centers, and the hospitals," he stressed.

KDM emphasized that regional heads have a responsibility to ensure all government agencies operate optimally and not simply carry out bureaucratic routines. Each regional agency must operate with a clear focus, namely improving services and meeting public needs.

Increased infrastructure spending also needs to be accompanied by transparent and professional budget management. KDM emphasized that government projects must be implemented through an open tender process, without intervention from regional heads in determining the winner.

"Do all the work, hold an open auction, and the winner will be a professional. The Regent cannot dictate who wins," he said.

KDM hopes that Asep's leadership will be able to accelerate the development of Bekasi Regency while ensuring that the regional budget has a direct impact on the community.

"I am sure Dr. Asep has never done anything wrong, so Dr. Asep will never be afraid of anyone's pressure, as long as he runs the government well," he said.
